Because you don't need a reason to take up space.

Maybe you've never felt particularly confident in your body.

Maybe you've lost weight, gained weight, had babies, gotten older, changed your style, started over or simply realised you've spent far too long waiting to feel “good enough” before being photographed.

Maybe you just want to feel hot.

That's reason enough.

A boudoir photoshoot isn't something you have to earn.

And you definitely don't need to wait until your body looks different.

You Don't Need to Lose Weight First...

Let's get this one out of the way.

You do not need to lose weight before booking a boudoir session.

There is no goal weight.

No required dress size.

No “come back when you're fitter” rule.

Your body doesn't need to be smaller, smoother, younger or different before it deserves to be photographed.

If you've been telling yourself:

“I'll book when I lose another 10 kilos.”

“I'll do it after I get my body back.”

“Maybe next year when I feel better about myself.”

You might be waiting forever for a version of yourself that doesn't need photographing.

You are allowed to photograph the person you are right now.

And No, Boudoir Isn't Just For the Male Gaze

This is your session

This is your session.

Not your partner's.

Not Instagram's.

Not some imaginary standard of what a woman “should” look like.

Yours.

You can book a boudoir session as a gift for your partner if that's something you genuinely want to do.

But you can also book it because you want photographs of yourself.

Full stop.

You can keep them completely private.

You can share them.

You can gift them.

You can print them.

You can put them in a drawer and occasionally open them just to remind yourself:

“Yep. That's me.”

Your photographs don't belong to anyone else unless you choose to share them.

So Why Actually Book One?

Because sometimes you need to see yourself differently.

Because you've worked hard for yourself.

Because motherhood changed your body.

Because you're getting married.

Because you've spent years being the person behind the camera.

Because you want to feel confident.

Because you're celebrating a milestone.

Because you're getting divorced.

Or because you've simply looked at yourself one day and thought:

“You know what? I want some really fucking good photos of me.”

What Do You Actually Get From a Boudoir Session?

You get photographs, obviously.

But hopefully, you get a little more than that.

You get an experience where you don't have to hide your stomach, apologise for your stretch marks, pull your clothes down or spend the entire time wondering whether you're taking up too much space.

You get to be photographed intentionally.

You get guidance.

You get beautiful images of your body from angles and perspectives you might never have seen yourself before.

You get photographs that aren't just the accidental snapshots other people take of you.

And you get the opportunity to create something that belongs entirely to you.

You Don't Have to Feel Confident Before You Book

This might be the biggest misconception about boudoir.

You don't have to walk into the studio already feeling sexy.

You don't have to know how to pose.

You don't have to love your body every single day.

You don't even have to particularly enjoy having your photograph taken.

You can be nervous.

I'll guide you through the posing, movement and expressions throughout your session.

You don't have to know what you're doing.

That's what I'm here for.

Book It For Future You

One day, your body will change.

It just will.

That's part of being a human.

And one day, you might look back at these photographs and realise you were far more beautiful, confident and capable than you gave yourself credit for.

So don't wait for the “after”.

Don't wait until everything is perfect.

Don't wait until you feel worthy.

Book the photographs now.

For the woman you are today.

For the memories.

For the confidence.

For the experience.

For absolutely no one but yourself.

And if you decide you want to share them with someone else?

That's your choice too.

Glow & Tell is a luxury boudoir photography studio in Mount Gambier, created for relaxed, empowering and body-inclusive boudoir experiences.

You don't need to know how to pose.

You don't need to look like a model.

You don't need to lose weight first.

You just need to decide you're worth photographing.
